I sometimes play those games (mostly the eating and sleeping), but try not to. Though I also do the "YOU ARE AWESOME *tacklehug*" game pretty seriously.

I have a lot of trouble with feeling like I need to prove myself by playing these, and, well, it's something I need to get the fuck over. :-) This is more of a resolution than anything.

easiest way I know is to remember that playing the games don't actually prove anything.

also, read Games People Play sometime in your copious spare time. Like in two or three years. It's fun. In that way that sometimes damages your soul for a bit before you regenerate.
