Why yes, it is. All Reedies read the \textit{Confessions} for the last week of the freshman humanities course, and there's something of a running joke about whiny Augustine and his dislike of pears.
I can't help but sympathize with Nietzsche on this one.

Yeah, we read it during freshman Core (The History of What White Dudes Think - Plus a Greek Lesbian and a Black Lady) at Whitman. Then Nietzsche. I'm with Nietzsche too.
And leave it up to some confirmed bachelor saint who's a little too attached to his mom to decide babies are proof of original sin because they're just so damn needy and selfish and scream all the time to get what they want. Those evil babies!
