Good girl! That's what I have!! More power to you if you don't succumb to the Canonikon Disease. :p

It's LIGHT
It's FAST
It has LIVE VIEW *and* a tilt screen (good for up high or down low shots, whereas the other brands mostly have fixed screens, which are useless IMO)
It has dust reduction
It's splash-proof

Get it! You won't regret it. And then I can have someone to talk about Olympus stuff with. :D

Well atm I've got the e1, and whilst its a very enjoyable camera to use and takes some good pictures, its thinking time is v e r y s l o w!
Also, its only 5mp, which seems tiny now. My point and shoot is way more than that!!

I'd deff be looking for another olympus, as I have 3 AMAZING lenses that wouldn't fit any on any other make.

Maybe I could persuade Dad thats its a business investment he just can't refuse, yes? *nods sagely*

Also, you forgot that it has the "fastest autofocus IN THE WORLD!!!!111" This always makes me think it should come with a superhero cape or something? lol.

Heh, you're a retro Oly user! I just got hooked on them from using their point and shoots, and bought the E500, then the E3.

Oooh, what lenses do you have? I'm pretty happy with my arsenal now... 14-54mm F2.8, 40-150mm F4, 50mm F2, and the 50-200mm F2.8. I also have a 70-300m for sale if you're interested. ;)

My camera and lenses started out as a hobby, but now it's my full-time job, so it's very possible you could consider it a business investment... I'm sure you'll make money off your photos at some point!

I think it's just the 12-60mm F2.8 lens that has the world's fastest autofocus when coupled with the E3. I rented it this summer and it was OMG AMAZING, but when it came time to replace my oooold 14-45mm F4 wide angle this autumn, I couldn't justify the $1000 price tag and went for the first version of the 14-54 instead ($400 open-box off Ebay).

Well its a hand-me-down, so I didn't have much choice in the matter but I actually find it really easy to use.

The lenses, again, were a hand me down. All 3 are the zuiko ED olympus lenses. 50-200mm, F2.8. 14-54mm, F2.8. and the 11-22mm, F3.8. I think that covers me for any shot I'd need at the moment, as I've not settled on one particular area yet (though swinging strongly towards landscape).

I'm always shocked at the price of all this stuff! It just wouldn't have been feasable for me to have any of it, if it wasn't for my Dad. I do actually have the money for it atm, I just don't want to rush into anything. £1000 is a LOT of money!!
