Newhaven: Week Nine - The Chang/Sibly Family

Previously for the Chang/Sibly Family: Mei Chang and her daughter Jia moved in with Mei's vampire boyfriend Maurice Sibly. Maurice came into Mei's life shortly after she lost her boyfriend, and Jia's father, Matthew Passang. She still doesn't know it was Maurice who unintentionally killed Matthew in a fit of blood lust.

Aww, what a sad ending! Lol, that he'll have to watch the woman he loves die of old age. That just rips my heart out! But, that's what happens when you fall in love with a mere mortal! Jia turned into a beautiful teenager!

It is sad, but also sort of fair in a karmic sense. It will be heartbreaking for him when Mei dies though :(

OMG, selling copies of masterpieces on Simbay, where do you get those (brilliant) ideas, lol! But indeed, one has to wonder, who the hell buys all those "Girl in pink dress" that our thousands of sims have been selling since 2004? :p

Ah, Maurice, you remain a mystery!
And the not ageing remains a problem, as much as I like vampires, for me as a player. But I've resolved to let some (handpicked) sims become younger than their heirs.
Anyway, Maurice doesn't have that problem, yet?, and I guess he has enough on his plate with his ageing lover and burdened conscience.

As usual, I must compliment your dedication to your BaCC neighbourhood. Nine weeks already and so many new citizens born in Newhaven! And hopefully many more to come.

I just had this vision of one very creepy sim surrounded by thousands of "Girl in pink dress" paintings ;P

I try and tie those inconsistencies into the story somehow, sometimes I'm lucky to come up with an plausible explanation ;)

Indeed, Maurice has a lot on his plate. I must admit I'm not sure what his future will hold once he no longer has Mei, but I guess time will tell!

And thank you, although all these updates were just me clearing my desktop after months and months. I am about half way through Week 10 though :)

I would like to compliment you on your dedicated commenting! It makes my day to read your comments and encourages me to continue. Which is actually probably a bad thing as I should be doing my Uni homework instead ;) But seriously, thank you!

I love the backstory to this family! Maurice is such an interesting character. He's been living with the burden of murder, deception, and now the undisguisable mortality of the woman he loves. It's so tragic -- and such terribly good reading! :D
