After forcing myself out of bed and into the humid, sulky line at the Post Office, I decided to treat myself to a visit to my favourite shop. As always the staff were exceedingly lovely. Sharing a kitchen is horrible. Unable to stand the filth and mess much longer, I have gone berserk with a broom. Donning my tea pot apron and rubber gloves, I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, every nook and cranny is sparkling. Weekend has swept by in a blur of dancing, drinking and lounging. As you know, we tested the waters at The Royal on Friday night: Too Pretentious, but beautifully decorated and great Motown room.

Last night we went to the new place to be seen, The Royal in Derby. Bands such as Mystery Jets and Hot Club De Paris have been wowing the Derby masses, whilst club nights are advertised in the kebab shop, on the Uni Bus.....

So we skipped the opening week, staying true to our beloved Blue Note, where literally eight people bopped half heartedly.

Enjoyed a whistlestop tour of Worcester this week, visiting the Severn Riverbanks, Pub Quiz at the Oak Apple, The Postal Order, Mayhem at Tramps, Shakey's, Llyods, Vue....several other typical Worcester establishments that we all know and love.

Came across a Packet of Parma Violets today, and have almost eaten all of them, my mouth feels deliciously floral. I looked on the label and am pleased to learn that Parma Violets are made in Derbyshire! My mother also rang me to inform me that Derby has been voted the UK's most exciting City?! Where is this excitement?

Yes, ok, I was at the park again today.....we had a BBQ for Ash's birthday. Sara and I dipped our toes in the sun dappled lake and the boys played football. I had delicious Alaskan salmon, smoked by lovely Robert.
