Happy New Year!

I know I'm supposed to count up my blessings and stuff, and I have a lot of them, but everyone is doing a TV meme and that sounds like my kind of distraction. So here's what I watched in 2013 (and may or may not continue watching in 2014 ( Read more... )

The only thing I watch on your list is Suits! I watch it for the Harvey, if I'm honest, and also the Donna (oh my god her outfits! So sharp!) and the ties. The earlier seasons were better, but I'm still looking forward to the next one!

I LOVED Chuck. So sad when it finished, although it was flogging a dead horse for a fair bit.

I watched I think 3 or 4 episodes of Arrow, it bored me to tears! Ah well.

Suits! I completely hear you about Harvey and the greatness that is Donna - I also first season watched it for the awesome that was Jessica, but I feel like they made her character downright mean instead of manipulative for a reason, and that Harvey's veering into that territory sometimes too. :( i still may check on it from time to time, but am sad face about how it had potential and wasn't quite there.

and OMG yeah, I totally see what you mean about Chuck. though i like the dead horse they're beating so it's mostly ok ;)

And yeah, Arrow is NOT entertaining. It's just got abs. Well and if you make it halfway through the first season it's also got smart-cookie-admin-woman who I really like (even if i can't remember her name). but I definitely wouldn't *recommend* it, if you knwo what i mean!

Ha ha funny about Arrow - because I tried to watch it just for the MAN HUNK, but he wasn't enough to hold my attention! Clearly I need a different type of man hunk (Chuck...? Casey...?) in my life!

I, too, enjoyed the dead horse, and could have watched the show flog it for another season or two quite happily! Never mind.

Yeah, I hope Suits will pick up next season. It still held my attention episode to episode, but didn't really have the same pazzaz! Too much "oh my god, serious lawyering in between" than cases, or Harvey/Mike witty bantering!

RE: Agents of Shield - dunno if I could be bothered to wait until the characters develop enough. There's so many stereotypes going on, and Coulson's crap in it too; I thought Joss was better than that.

My not-so-guilty TV pleasure is Grey's Anatomy!!

Oh yeah, and Agents of Shield? I was so excited. So disappointing. Watched, like, two episodes before deciding it was god awful.

Oh i know! though it does start to pick up later on, and i'm assured by someone else who was definitely dissatisfied by the beginning that the most recent couple of episodes are really good... i just don't know how committed i am to hanging in there that far.

And what you say about El in White Collar.

I'd forgotten how much that stood out at the start of the series: that El was such a comfortable, confident woman, without all the usual 'wifey' hang-ups.
