ooh it seems you can now tag livejournal entries!

I fear this weekend at home could be a geeky one ;o). But enough of that, following our decision not to go to the Lakes, I should continue packing so I can actually have a life tonight and tomorrow.

Miss Possibly-Geeky, are tags just categories/keywords, or is it a little more advanced that that? And what's S1 and S2, and how do I know what I have?

it works on the same basis as flickr tags or technorati tags. basically you just attach some words related to what you are writing about. It simplifies searching for things later on. It's basically about attaching meaning and context to the data within (semantic web etc etc). You'll eventually be able to see at a glance what you are mostly talking about and what most livejournalers write about (that is if they implement the feature as most other sites seem to be)

dnisbet has explained tags in a nutshell Erin - it allows you to catalogue your entries and it's all very exciting - look at my two most recent posts for more (I'm going to work on tagging my previous entries this weekend).

S1 and S2 are two different stylesets I think, although I know little more than that unfortunately.
