...is I now get all the gig listings as they're announced.

Oh yes.

There's a lot of very uninteresting-looking clubnights that I'm going to have to plug, though. ;o)

smug-as-fuck

Does this improve my chances of getting miscellaneous bi events plugged somewhere in SD though?

Alas, seeing as listings has been cut in size some, I don't think it will o_O (erk).

News tend to be quite good to contact if there's something big going on and they're feeling particularly benelovent, it might go in as a short.

Plus not sure if there will be an LGBT special this year - unless it's in the Union constitution. The LGBT and queer-friendly element of the editorial often wonder whether, when we look back on it, it turns out as the portrayal we intended. Instead of being a positive outlook, we often worry it turns out as 'ooh, let's pick a minority and do a big special on them and feel we've done our bit for the year'. I'm amongst those who feel LGBT coverage should be completely mainstreamed (I tried to do it with the QUN special just before the end of the year and I don't know how successfully it worked), but I'll keep you posted on what happens - it's usually just after my birthday in November if there is a special.
