"Jack," Alex asked cautiously as he heard the boy sniffling behind his computer screen. "W- Why are you crying?" He asked curiously.

"I'm not," he croaked. Alex let out a laugh.

"Yes, you are. Jacky, what's wrong?" he asked softly, walking towards the couch.

"Nothing," his voice was obviously hoarse.

"Jack," Alex whispered urgently, trying to make the boy tell him. Jack stayed silent, so Alex crawled onto the couch beside him. Jack had You Tube open. Alex read the title quickly. All Time Low - "Lullabies" (11/28/08 @ The Starland Ballroom, NJ) Oh, hell, Jack did not. He knew why Jack was crying. He felt his own tears spring up at the title. Alex cried, at least a little, every single damn time he sang Lullabies. "P- Play it," he asked. Jack hit the space bar slowly.

"Make it a sweet goodbye. It could be for the last and it's not right. 'Don't let yourself get in over your head' he said. Alone and far from home we'll find you," Alex voice didn't crack during the whole first verse and he felt momentarily proud of himself for that. Well, that was until on screen Zack played a bad note and Alex was heard trying to suck in a breath.

"Let's do this dance, mother fuckers," Alex voice was so clearly ridden with tears that it hurt. It physically hurt Jack to hear it, to watch it, to feel it too. On screen Alex sang the song, mostly perfectly, but you could hear the tears in his voice.

"Jack, you shouldn't watch these," Alex croaked. Jack didn't reply but the laptop was shoved away and soon replaced by two boys clinging to each other hopelessly. Tears were flowing freely now and shame was long forgotten. Jack and Alex rarely cried in front of each other. Neither knew why but they didn't.

Minutes, hours, days later they pulled apart. Alex didn't know how long it'd been. Jack didn't care.

"If you didn't do this to yourself you wouldn't be crying," Alex mumbled, gesturing lightly at the open laptop. Jack shrugged as if to say 'I can't help it'. "It's too much," Alex muttered. Alex moved back from Jack suddenly. A look of realization was masking his face.

"Alex?"

"We were so caught up in love," Alex was murmuring short phrases intermittently and Jack only caught half the words he was saying. "We didn't have a chance to come up for air."

"Alex?" Jack asked more urgently as the boy continued to murmur.

"Like everything was meant to be let go." Alex began to search for a scrap of paper and a pen.

"Type it," Jack ordered, thrusting the laptop into Alex's lap.

"'Cause I can't be on my own," Alex smiled up at Jack as he said the words.

"Could you kindly tell me what the fuck you're doing now?"

"Song," Alex mumbled, typing as fast as he could. Jack cuddled beside Alex and read as the boy typed.

What's this place?
Where did our home go?
We won't know
I don't know

We were so caught up in love.
We didn't have a chance to come up for air.

Where did my heart go?
We'll never know
I'll never know

I need to find a reason to feel
'Cause I can't be on my own

Too much of anything is too much.
Too much love can be too much.
We had too much time. Jack smiled against Alex's neck.

"What are you going to call it?" he asked, pushing the laptop aside after letting Alex save the document.

"Too much," Alex sighed. Jack kissed the blond's neck repeatedly as he straddled the boy.

"I like it," he decided. Jack lifted his head so he could look at Alex as he said this.

"Me too," Alex smiled and pressed a hand on either side of Jack's face, pulling the boy into him.
