Some thoughts

The political furore of the last few days and the way the commentary on same has repeatedly degenerated into "abortion evil" "is not" is too" has started me thinking. I know this is a dangerous thing, but anyway... Onward and somewhere.

Assuming that a) life does begin at conception, and b) abortion is therefore murder, who should be investigated

From what I understand, ectopic pregnancy is usually detected after the fallopian tube ruptures. Just as a data point.

I'm on the "it's a necessary evil" side.

Honestly? I fall somewhere in the middle I think.
I look at it this way. If a woman is in bad healh and the baby is the result of defective condoms etc. If the baby is a product of rape. If the mother is really mentally not there...ill...then by all means all of the above and a few others go ahead and abort the child. However..I don't think abortion should be used as birth control due to someone's *to put it bluntly* careless fucking. Teenagers..tend to be a perfect example of that one, Or a night of drunken debauchery.
