dilemma: my dad wants to see my writing. i have no problem with that, except that i have a moral dilemma. do i let him read the things i wrote about him? do i let him read the negative things that i wrote about him? i don't know how he'll take it. i don't know if he'll put it in the right perspective or not. i sort of want him to know those things ( Read more... )

what's the ratio of work (that you're proud of and would want him to see) about him/not about him? is it possible to show him many things without showing him things about him?

are the issues in your writing things you are willing to talk to him about, whether he responds well or not? is bringing up these issues this way the way you really wanna do it, or would you prefer another forum?

Nancy's good. Also, why would you NOT want him to know those things? IF you can figure out that, then maybe you really really DO want him to know those things and that's your answer. Maybe it's a way to start talking.
It's not like he'll stop being your dad if he reads something negative. Quite the contrary, maybe he'll start.
