When someone tells me that I'm stupid for liking something, I punch them in the lip and poke them in the eyeball.

It's a rude thing to say. You may not like what someone else does, but simply because your preferences aren't perfectly matched doesn't make them (or you) stupid.

And my feelings are hurt only when people I admire think I'm dumb for liking something. On second thought...actually. Nope, it still really sucks.
