sittin by the dock of the bay

this kid in my english class junior year in high school decided the same thing and made up songs for everyone in that class. he said mine would be "sittin by the dock of the bay" because at the time it came out there was no other song even similar to it and it was so unique that i deserved that. i don't know if i agree with that. but, it's definitely interesting.

so, this boy in my english class jr year in high school decided the same exact thing about theme songs and that each of the kids in our class should have one. he decided mine should be "sittin on the dock of the bay" because it was so unique and innovative and at the time it came out it was ahead of its time and so different than anything else. i thought his reasoning was interesting, but i don't know that i would have picked that song for me....
