Hiding emotions is nothing to be proud about. Especially when you care about someone; frankly, I'm disappointed in you. You fail to accept the duel so that you have license over the title "pirate," and then you shield your emotions to an apparent friend. If there was a process for this, I would call it, becoming a man; or the kind of person a man has been conditioned to be come. Bravo.
