practically the same accident happened to me (except, my chain broke in two) about a year ago. nobody helped me up, though--the teens on the corner just laughed as a bus came barreling down the avenue at me.

also, the perspective on the second picture is making my brain spin. the leg, fork and envelopes look like they're on different plains of existence.
