I had an epidural with my first, too, and he had to be vacuumed, and it seemed to me that he had a headache for his first two weeks of life-poor Max!-so I opted to give birth completely naturally the second time. What I'll say was that the pain was other-side-of-the-moon unreal, but the birth was short! The whole thing only took two hours, and I had a wonderful nurse who kept giving me perineal massage, so I didn't tear one bit, and when it was over, it was over. Got your birth announcement. Congratulations! Great name, great pix.
