i hate looking for places to live. and i'm rubbish at it as well. reasons why i've rejected perfectly nice rooms include: coldplay on the stereo, possible flatmate wearing a baseball cap (not one of them hipster ones which are perched just so on the head so as to have enough room for an apple underneath, though that would be reasonable cause also

heh, thanks :-) i've been told off for being superficial (meh) but these things clearly matter. i wouldn't recommend it if you have to move on short notice though!
