We now return to our regularly scheduled life.

This is how today was supposed to go. I get up, have breakfast, run over to the grocery and then get home in time for the electrician to come and fix our ceiling fan. When the Mr. turned it on Saturday morning, the chain came off in his hand. So it's been whirring around constantly since then. It's been rather warm, so that hasn't been much of a problem, but I really don't think it's good for the fan that it's on all the time. He would come, fix the fan and then I would do the rest of my usual day-to-day stuff and then get ready to go to work at 3:30pm. Home, if I'm lucky, around 12:30am and to bed by 2:30am or so.

This is how the day actually went: I run over to the grocery and am home cleaning up when the phone rings. It's the Mr. He's at work and having pains in his chest. He's had them off and on for a while and they usually go away, but this time, they're especially sharp and he's thinking we should call the doctor and ask them what to do. They're not really in the region of his heart, but they're intense and radiate all the way through to his back. I tell him that all they're going to say is Go straight to the Emergency Room , so he comes home and we head up to the hospital at the north end of town. Now, he's had some heart tests run and all his EKG's have always been normal, so he doesn't really think that he's having a heart attack, but neither one of us can figure out what's causing it. Though, in the back of my mind (all those years of watching ER haven't gone to waste) I'm afraid he might be having an aortic aneurysm or something. Fortunately, the CAT scan didn't find anything abnormal. The Dr. who saw us in the ER also mentioned that it had sounded like there might have been a mass of some sort in his chest that was causing the pain. But everything looked fine, so they let him go, about 3:25pm and we came home. I had called work right after the Mr. called, so I ended up trading shifts with another manager, so now I'll work her Thursday night shift since she's working tonight for me. The other good thing is that they got the results from his other tests that he's had ( an echo cardiogram and a stress test) and they show that there's nothing wrong with his heart. But I have to say that the day certainly didn't go exactly the way I thought it would!
