I came home tonight to find a note from the Mr. that read : "Starting Monday, works from 8 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday. One night a week 6pm to 6 am. And one weekend a month." At first, I thought he was referring to his work schedule but after a few minutes, I realized that he was talking about our son's new schedule for his Chaplaincy job

But I think its super awesome that your grandkids are so much closer to you than they used to be. I know growing up with my grandma nearby was the best thing ever!

Sorry for the confusion. He's an ordained Presbyterian minister. He was the Youth Pastor at the church in Georgia, but he and the church decided to part ways. So now he's doing a year-long Chaplaincy program at The Ohio State University Hospitals in Ohio.

I was so blessed to be able to grow up with both my Grandmas and one of my Grandpas. And my two got to know my Mom really well, which was super.

I saw chaplain and I thought so but then I saw DougieHowser so I thought, doctor? But now I see he's a minister working in a hospital. Gotcha. That's really cool : )

Yeah, grandparents are the best, especially for me because my parents were not emotionally available much. Having my grandma saved me.

Well I dont know about the city as a whole but Pine Street fared OK so I count myself lucky.

His nickname in Seminary was DougieHowserMDIV..the MDIV for his Master of Divinity degree and the fact that he looked like he was about 19 years old. Hopefully, at the end of the year he'll be able to find another job...either as a full-time chaplain somewhere or as pastor of another church. But we're just really glad they're closer now!
