I was right, it took less time to get the tooth out than it did to fill out their paperwork online, but both the Doctor and his assistant were very kind. He numbed me up to my earlobe on that side of my face, so I couldn't feel anything and it took maybe 5 or 6 minutes to get it out. I ended up being on virtually all soft foods for like 3 weeks after tooth removal. Its no joke with the stitches and stuff. But you're right, you do lose weight. I had plenty of pudding and ice cream and had the best excuse. Lots of Chef Boyardee, grits, mashed potatoes and eggs were OK. I found after a week though, I wanted a burger sooooooo bad.

I think the hardest part is remembering to not use a straw! Ever since my dental hygienist told me about how it would help keep my teeth from getting stained from the iced tea, I've always used one, even at home. Felt pretty weird drinking without one the first time I did it, that's for sure!
