Squashing the Ta-Ta's.
I'm off to get the boobies squashed this afternoon. I would urge all of you to get this done on a regular basis, even if you're still young (in your twenties, say). Yes, it's uncomfortable, but not nearly as much as treatment for cancer would be. And mammograms save lives...the new digital exams are much clearer than the old X-ray ones used to be. I started feeling achy and flushed at the end of my shift tonight. I'm hoping it was because the cold and rainy weather was making my arthritis act up and not because I'm coming down with the flu or a cold. We took the daughter and SIL to Red Lobster for dinner tonight, so I thought I'd wear something a little nicer than my usual turtleneck/sweatshirt combo. I was rummaging through my closet when I found a deep purple plaid blouse and faux suede big-shirt that I bought about 10-15 years ago. Cold feet....
We got snow flurries yesterday..some of it stuck around till about 10:00 am or so. It was down in the low 30's this morning...and yet both yesterday and today, when I went to Meijer's..people were wearing flip-flops! Hello..it's not summer any more! Okay...can I get an explanation of why Yahoo has decided to send comments on my LJ entries to my spam folder????? I haven't changed any of my setting on either LJ or Yahoo and it just started today. I don't really mind that much, but it seems a little weird that it should suddenly start doing this. -
Surf's up/ Batten down the hatches
We are apparently in for a rather stormy day. The 'surf' is up over on the eastern side of Lake Michigan and it's tearing siding off houses down in Indianapolis..hi, innerslytherin..hope you're okay! Going to the "Disc"-Oh!
Question for the flist: I'm starting to read the "Discworld" novels (Yes, I know..I'm a day late and a dollar short. What else is new?)..do I need to try to read them in the order they were written?
