Luckily for me (I think? :O) there are like two real Beatles fans and then me. Most everyone is all like, "Beatles? Oh yeah, I listened to a few of their songs, they are chill" so they think I'm pretty posh for being all into the Beatles (because apparently it's super cool and hip to be obsessed with 60-year-old men D:).
SRSLY though. I will go all karate chopping, ass kicking, ninja-style assassinating on ANYONE who gives you hell. D:

Most people only got into the Beatles because of Across the Universe or for the fact that they use a lot of Beatles (And I use the term loosely because most of the time they were a "jazzed up, modern" version of the song for Gap commercials or what have you.

My biggest problem is people who wear Lennon stuff or buy it because it'll make them seem like they believe in stuff and not look so much like the shallow, pathetic people that they are.

I'm sorry babe >.< It's one of my biggest pet peeves as well.

Helloooo! I dunno if it's too late to comment, but i found your journal through beatlesslash. I totally agree with you! I've been a big fan for about a year or two, but I neeever talked about it until recently because now suddenly it's cool to like the Beatles (I get made fun of it too--even by my bf... Who TURNED me onto them in the first place!! Explain that one??). But, mention anything deeper than the white album or Abbey road and you get stares. Gr.. I agree with whoever said it was due to Across The Universe and the rerelease of the catalog (not knocking the movie. I love it and Jim sturgess looks like Paul *.*!!).

Keep standing out! I think you're so cool for being such an open fan in school. You're braver than I am! :D
