Writer's Block: Traditional Pursuits
Christmas Eve is my father's birthday so my family always gets together to celebrate his birthday. We have a huge potluck dinner, birthday cake and Grandpa (now) opens his birthday presents. Santa Vist
Yesterday I took Ariel and her two youngest brothers, Ash (7) and Andrew (9) to the city on a Christmas visit. First we stopped at Union Square to see the holiday windows at Macy’s with the real kittens and puppies. We also visited Niemann Marcus to see the enormous Christmas tree in the rotunda. Thanksgiving
Had a lovely Thanksgiving Day with family and extended family. About half my family was there so we could all fit (tightly) at one table and the food and company was good. We laughed a lot and took a long walk after dinner and enjoyed the Christmas store windows and lights.

Cat Training
My Siamese kitten Xander (8 months old) is driving me crazy!! I've always had girl kitties before and they certainly never behaved like this. Xander was named Phoebe at first because I was told (and I wanted) a girl. After I had Phoebe for a few days I noticed that she seemed to have a lot of equipment for a girl. Was driving home from work last night passing through the seedy "adult entertainment" part of North Beach and noticed this sign. Big Al's Adult Book Store, with a two story neon sign of an old fashioned gangster and a movie marquee style sign with the message: Back to School Special - Teachers get 10% Off!!!
