First Day of School!

It's the first day of school, and I'm sitting at home in silence.  I miss the sounds of the kids, but I know that they are having a good time with their friends at school

I hope they have a good year. though this seems early from what i remember thought tat was 3o + years ago in another state.

Actually, school does start early here. But the school system ends the first semester before winter break, and the kids get out right after the middle of May.

When does your little one start kindergarten?

we're keeping him back another year. the kindergarten teacher who was to get him 'tested" him and he didn't do well on her tests so she thought he wasn't ready. except she said he couldn't do some tasks his other teacher say he has done well with in the past.
So he was choosing not to preform as well as he could for her. Which means that he doesn't have the maturity yet move on. we didn't want him to live down to her expectations

Yes, you do not want her to live down to expectations. And it really is no big deal if he doesn't do kindergarten until next year. There are several kids in both Terry and Rachel's classes who are a year older.

Is R going to pre-k this year?
