I thought you were a Republican???

I just learned about a new bill being sponsored in the State Senate that forbids any public school system in Georgia from beginning school before the third week in August.  Oh, and the bill's sponsor is supposed to be a Republican.

My mind is blown away by this; I keep thinking "Aren't Republicans for local matters being handled locally?"  I admit

Write to this fool as well as the more sane representatives letting them know this is a waste of time and money. Your voice should balance out those ranting children who happen to be parents. :)

Personally I like the balanced calendar - can't wait!
