::is sick:: Have a temperature of 37.8 degrees celsius. The correct temperature is 36.7? 37.5?
This is such a horrible time to be sick, on the eve of Chinese New Year! I couldn't even eat anything at the reunion dinner, the smell of food made me wanna hurl. I think it's punishment for the tons of pineapple tarts I demolished.
I'm not even that

Well, I may not have a fever, but I just ate a ton of jiao zi and...*vomit* I know I shouldn't eat that stuff. Always makes me feel gross. At least it's not bao zi. I hate that stuff.
Anyway, I didn't know you celebrated Chinese New Year! Shows how much I don't know about you. You don't actually live in China, I'm guessing, right? Oh, and did you get a qi pao? I love them - I need to get a new one made.
I don't think I'm going to be allowed to sleep tonight - since I do live in China, everyone here is going to be setting off fireworks and crackers all bloody night. I wish I was in HongKong with my grandparents *pout*. HongKong's the best place to be for Chinese New Year. I was there last year, but I had a fever the whole time.
Gong xi Fa cai! Have a great New Year, and I hope you feel better soon! *hugs*

I like jiao zi! Though I can't eat too much of it either... not that I can eat *anything* at the moment. ::pouts::

Nope, Singapore. Are you Chinese? But English sounds like your native language.
Oh, and did you get a qi pao?
Did you?! Ohmigod, that's so cool! I didn't though, we're not that traditional, it's fine just to wear new clothes.

I think it would be fun if it's for like 15 minutes but the whole night? ::hugs in sympathy::

I was in Hong Kong for Christmas and it was really fun! I hope you had a wonderful new year! ::smooches::

I'm half Chinese, half American. I was born and raised in America, but I've lived in China for nearly 11 years now. I'm currently in Tianjin, though I lived in Beijing for a number of years. And yes, English is my native language. Even after being here for so long, my chinese sucks.
I have a traditional shirt, made from the qi pao material, but I like it just the same. I'm not that traditional either, but I got it made anyway.
The fireworks were actually an immense amount of fun - my friends blew up several garbage cans, and even melted one down. They also turned out the street lamps several times, becuase the explosions were so huge.
I ate hot and sour soup last night, and it didn't agree much with my stomach. *pout*
However, I had fun, and I hope you did too! *snuggles* I hope you get better soon, too! *pecks cheek*

::wide-eyed:: That's so fun! Ohmigod, I must go visit you one CNY! So that I can see you blow up garbage cans! ::laughs::
