Back at school. Looking at the end of semester and impending doom. But it's sunny and warm and I get to go outside and play all the time. I second everything Colleen said. Spring just makes me happier, I love it so much. Weather is enough to help balance my stress and that's just fine with me ( Read more... )

Before finals week I see an excursion to the Island. Wait. I'm already there. Damn. I knew the palm trees didn't belong in my room.

Whoa...that is deep. Deep like the water that surrounds our island. I thought I saw you there yesterday. We should meet at the tiki hut on the SE side for mojitos.

getting irrationally (maybe rationally) mad at roommate

I think everyone does that. I remember one time when I contemplated killing my roommate when she was eating Cheerios loudly at 4:30 am and I was trying to sleep. Although I think that one was rational.

My dad is already collecting end-of-school dates for the BWCA trip, so I took a wild guess at yours. I'm sure I get done later than you anyway, so it probably won't matter.

I hate it when I get mad about those little things. I feel stupid and yet completely justified.

I'm done with finals on May 20, we pretty much have to be off campus by the 21st so I'm home sometime that Saturday so anytime after the 22nd works for me really, although I do (potentially) have a job to contend with this summer. I should know about that situation before the end of next week. Whee! Summer job!

Wow, I am good at this guessing dates thing. Anyway, I'm not done until the 24th (maybe earlier, thanks to multiple nontraditional finals) so you'll have some time to rest up.

So what is this (potential) job? I'm planning on telling my job I can't start until after I get back from the trip, so maybe you could do that too. And now you get to experience the fun of going to work with billions of bug bites and a swollen ear/eye! It's way fun, trust me.

And as far as roommates go, I think it's okay to get mad about those things as long as you realize that a)none of this will matter in hour and b)your roommate probably feels the same way about occasional things you do. At least that's what I try to do, and so far my roommate is alive and uninjured, so I feel it's going well.

Do you know the dates that we're looking at going to the BWCA? I've got a phone interview today, maybe it would be good to tell her when I could start working. Although this job is a lifeguard at one of the beaches in Minnetonka and I don't think that job is supposed to start until June. Hmmm....we'll see how this job thing works out...
