Sonnet 1
In the light of the day, I write the truth,
Across the ivory piano keys.
In an empty room bathed in the sunlight,
I close my eyes and imagine you here.

From the whispered secrets in the darkness,
I find that you have made me whole once more.
Purple pens dance across the white paper.

And then you sign your letters with a heart;
You fold up the crisp pages of your thoughts,
Leaving me to wait for your letter.

You tell your secrets to white blank pages,
While I open my heart up to your eyes.
We spend nights confiding in each other,
And then I know you are mine forever.


Sonnet 2
There is something about the sunlight,
And it makes me realize that you are here.
It could never be love at first sight,
Because I am sure that you can still hear.

Written among confusion and the lies,
That will always fill our conversations,
And the break when you decide to get some fries,
Makes me remember the complications.

But though all of the crazy times that we share,
Ignoring the many miles between us,
I know there will always be something there.
And we never find reason to confess.

And no matter where we might end up,
I find I am never alone. Unless...
