Haha, there seem to be spoilers everywhere but my journal atm...

There's still about 50% S1 footage. Like, it wasn't until a good way through that it was obvious they'd been updated - the opening with the sword is still there and the shot from Lancelot. But new credits! :D I liked the clips they chose for that.

I actually liked the clotpole moment for once, the original one set off my embarrassment squick a little. >_>

Well the whole first episode of season 2 was kinda painful to watch, just for the OTT bullying and embarrassing moments. *sigh* I hope this season keeps up this descent into darkness and doesn't include crap like farting trolls.

Bit disappointed about the S1 footage being kept in, but it's frankly a miracle they've bothered to revamp the credits at all, so I'll count my blessings. ^^

I really enjoyed 2x01 at first, because I watched it on the BFI and on the big screen everything becomes awesome. I didn't see much in the way of comedy monsters in the trailer - there was some silly humour but it was all in the banter.

I was pretty satisfied with the new credits - I don't really remember, though, because it's the credits, they're not that memorable. xD

Thanks for the lovely recap :D Being on the other side of the world I'm always starved for any news/spoilers/squee.

And finally: this episode may confirm a long-standing and very popular fan-theory, either partially or fully. It's something that's been hinted at before but never fully explored. That's all I'm saying. :P

Hmmmm I was thinking magic reveal, OR, that Arthur have already suspected for quite a long time. Dun dun dun...
