Hm. I just had to file the papers and 10 days later go to court.

It was also really amicable. There was no contest so maybe that sped things up.

It did go through fast. I think we both needed it to be official.

Initially, I was thinking that it didn't really matter and we could just stay legally married forever. It turns out that that piece of paper is much more than just a piece of paper.
