Sorry for the long blog-silence. You might recall that I was having a bit of a staycation when my bestie b & her husband were visiting. That was great, but the day after they went back to Texas my grandfather passed away, so last week was all up to MD & PA for family & funeral, and then, well, I was exhausted. Oh my goodness, this is what I struggle with ALL THE TIME. I have been trying really, really hard not to go back and edit yet because I ALWAYS do, and I end up stuck in circles.

Aw, so sorry about your grandfather! *hugs* Mine passed away a few years ago, and it's still weird to think of him as gone.

I admit, I'm the type of writer who tends to go back instead of moving forward while writing, but it's usually just by a few chapters, so I can get a better feel for where I left off. It helps me continue the story once I reach the blank page again. I agree, though, that going back to obsessively edit can be crippling. (Something I do sometimes, too, heh.) Good luck moving forward so you can finally have a full draft in your hands!
