· Do my best to get up and walk about every hour at work; as well as stretching. This is currently aided by the fact that the printer is bust so I have to go to the one in the corridor.
At my work I'm at the opposite end of the building from both the kitchen and the ladies' loos; they're about 100m away. I could probably significantly up my exercise just by drinking more tea!
Ooh, about fruit/veg in cake, my colleage brought in a chocolate cake the other day that had beetroot in it. You couldn't tell; the only difference from a 'normal' chocolate cake was that it was moister and tastier :)
You can apparently use courgette in cakes in a similar fashion. I really should try this, but have never got round to doing so.
Still, I've planted a load of yellow-skinned courgette seeds - so if they germinate I will no doubt end up with a glut of courgettes in the summer to experiment with.
Of course, since there's also a hosepipe ban due to kick off, keeping the veg supplied with water may well count as weights for me by that point!
http://www.farm-fresh-organics.co.uk/index.html is a nice company on the Veg Box front. Chris is lovely and they focus on getting as much from local farms as they can but make sure you have lots of fridge space!
It may just be that I can't find anywhere else dark. The problem with an organic veg box is it not lasting more than about 2-4 days in some cases! I do recommend the company though.
This all sounds hugely positive, well done for sticking with it :)
The thing about weight lifting mostly refers to people who want to really build muscle, you totally destroy a set of muscles if you're doing a heavy enough session, and so need to give it time to repair itself. If you're doing toning weights, then it's less of a break needed as you haven't damaged the muscle fibre in the same way.
I'd also suggest a resistance band, they're about a fiver and give you a range of ways to work your muscles without having weights, and thus avoiding stress to your ankle

Um, the only way to build muscle is to damage the existing muscle. The way it works is that if you damage a muscle a little bit, the body rebuilds it stronger.
People who want to really build muscle are doing it faster and more extremely, but the mechanism is exactly the same.

That said, not much veg needs to be cold so it may work. I shall investigate.

Attending classes means I have an appointment (even if I'm not paying extra for it as it's part of the membership) and thus turn up for it.
