So...

life continues as normal. Managed to spend ~$60 on books this weekend and fill an entire bookshelf. I was most pleased with myself. Now I'm working on getting everything packed up. Can't find my navy blue sheets though, which is upsetting me a bit. I love those sheets and would much rather have them than the pink or yellowy flowered alternative ( Read more... )

*Despairing look* God himself only knows. I have about three senarios with a few variations on each but have no clue what i really want to do. I want to kill as much debt as possibile as fast as possible. I also want to keep the academic door open because I think I want to pursue that, its more a question of will my...temperment? allow me to. There are a few key factors that will help decide. but yeah, God himself only knows where I'll be in a year

hah. best way to kill debt is live at home. and, no, it doesn't kill your soul to lve at home unles you live with the anti-christ or an axe murderer. Living at home is actualyl a huge growing up expirence.

temperment...

Well, really who has the end say with that. You do! As far as academics.......I found personally that the end question is how long can you go without being a productive member of society. Take than number and devide it by half and that is how long you have the temperment to stay in school.

Yes, despairing look because I'm having trouble finding the balance of what I can do and what I would like to do, as well as figuring out what it is I would really like to do.

Well, by July of next year there will be no home to live in most likely. And for my family, living at home would be the worst decision possible. We can stand each other for about 48 hours at a time before the fighting starts in earnest (this assuming things go smoothly to begin with). I haven't been home for more than 4 days at a time since Christmas of my sophomore year.

As to the temperment, I'm used to being busy. It has nothing to do with being a "productive member of society.' I'm used to being very active and practical. This and being an academic, so to speak, are not necessarily mutually exclusive, just difficult to reconcile.
