I really enjoyed this! It is hard to be rational in the current climate, and I can understand why, at the end, you want to let your inner bitch off the chain (great image!). We survived a divisive Civil War and a polarizing Vietnam War. At some time, we will come out on the other side of our current troubles.

This has been a larger society issue for so long-- probably all of civilization. It's how Galileo got jailed for heresy.

And oh, how I understand wanting to let the dog off the chain and flame-war down the stupidity, as well as why you resist.

I grew up in a family with few arguments and issues, but the peacekeeper is still in me-- probably more of the Libra than the environment.

I can relate a lot to this. My mother started jokingly (and sometimes, not so jokingly) referring to me as the voice of reason when I was about 9.

It's not really a fun or easy voice to have sometimes.

Also, oh my goodness is there a lot of goddamned stupid out there. It's mind-boggling.
