I have never been to a leadership seminar, but I did steal that lady's light fixtures. As to the lion, I would shove the seminar leader in its direction, and then make my escape. This was lots of fun!

Ha! Such a great title! I have heard that type of leadership seminar referred to as "charm school" before, which always makes me smile.

I hate those seminars. Hate. Them.

I would totally have approached the big kitty. Because, like you said, big kitty!

My job recently held an all-staff meeting, where we discussed How Successful We've Been, How Awesome We Are, and then were broken up into teams of people from various departments as a chance to Get to Know Each Other.

It went about as well as you'd expect something like that to go.

A few of the questions we were asked?

1. What favorite color are you, and how does being that color make you feel?
2. If Hollywood made a movie based on our organization, what would be the plot? Which stars would you cast as the heroes and villains?
3. You (or your department) are under an evil spell cast by a witch; who is the witch, what is the spell, and what words were uttered to cast it?

I Googled the questions and they're all from different "Things to do at your next staff meeting" types of websites.

I detested those "team building" exercises when I had to do them in my grad school leadership course. Ugh ugh ugh!

I loved the title....

I hate those corporate training, professional training sessions. We have a lot of those , some compulsory and I could totally relate to what you were conveying.

That said , I had a riot reading your narrative. :)
