In the midst of a rather uneventful afternoon spent in a solitude, Kathy finds herself pouring over a book ('The Hobbit'), the radio playing in the background, tuned to a station dedicated to country music. Carter leans down to grab Rusty before the kitten has a chance to get out the door. Carrying the small ball of fur inside, he gently kicks the door closed. He can hear Kathy singing, and moves slowly tot he doorway, hoping not to interrupt her.

Her voice is soothing, and a erfect companion to the music coming from the radio.

When the song finishes, she freezes, looking to the closed door warily. She then reaches out, turns the doorknob, and pulls the door open, stepping back to find none other than Carter. She gasps in surprise, then laughs a little, before promptly flushing red.

"Sorry about that."
