Geebus. Doesn't anyone watch HGTV? :P

Yeah sadly anything prior to like 1995 you're probably going to have to sink some fairly serious money into it. I mean the Hershey house was built in '83 and we left it with NEW hardwood floors, almost new carpets throughout, new bathroom tile, fresh paint, a new countertop in the master bath, an updated wood fireplace, and a new heat pump.

We were going to do countertops too, but the people moving in had a different vision so we were all "whatever, man".

That is like...two steps up from a foreclosure on BOTH counts.

It's not the old kitchen/bathrooms that offend me, it's that the people who own the house that is $162,000 are treating it like it IS upgraded. I mean, I'm not looking for an HGTV home, but don't charge me money for improvements that don't exist. It's not like they were giving me any appliances made this century or anything. :p The carpet was stained in one room too ( ... )
