It's a rather doleful anniversary today as 12th March 2020 was the last time we went out to an event in a venue with a large group of people and had a meal out beforehand. We had a delicious meal in an Italian restaurant that was new to us and then went to see Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes in Wimbledon. At least it was a really lovely evening ( Read more... )

We are eating Thai tonight - we see getting nice food delivered sometimes as supporting the local economy :)

I rather like the idea of a levitating house - I could drop in to visit!

You could definitely drop in to visit. The only trouble with a levitating house is you have to be sure you have somewhere safe to land it :)

Our mezze tonight was delicious. There was a bit more preparation than we anticipated but as it was J's night to deal with food I didn't mind that and he was enjoying himself. This company supports independent restaurants so we felt anything that helps an independent business not go under is a good thing, particularly if it means stuffing ourselves with lovely food.

I watched a show last night talking about the last year and how quickly things changed. I'd forgotten so much of it, mostly blanking things out.

It feels so weird that it's been a year. We seem to have been stuck in limbo for so long that the length of time is hard to grasp. I think blanking things out is the best idea.
