Ikea - Craft room table

We went down to IKEA tonite and got this from the as is section for a whopping $120. I'm so happy. I was debating on the full price version, and I had finally written it off, but when we were just about ready to leave and headed to the as is section, it was there marked down several times.

That's very cool and multi functional. I'd love that for a work desk, as it's nice and high.

I love their as-is section. Unfortunately, you can't fit too much fully assembled furniture into a Jetta, but I've found tons of exciting stuff down there.

Yeah but you can rent the delivery truck from them for cheap I think. You'd have to calculate that cost but sometimes there floor model section is dirt cheap so it could be worth it.

The best part is the drawers! I'm totally into anything with drawers right now. And these are perfect for all the pnes and little bits of things.

I've seen the rental trucks ads, I think it's $20 or something.....

Joe & I would have been kicking ourselves for not bringing his pickup if it didn't fit in the murano. But, we just took it for granted we would be getting the flat boxes.

That is awesome. As I am doing my invitations I have realised how useful a big craft area would be. I need a big empty table where I can just lay out stuff. Unfortunately that is not happening in our 1BR apt.

How's the new house BTW?

I totally hear you on the craft table. When I was working on our wedding invations in the condo, the coffee table, kitchen island, any flat surface had some sort of product on it during the height of it.

As for the house.......uggh, so much to do. I love the commute though. I have to take post pictures.

What a great deal! And it's in good condition? Everytime I browse the as is section of our Ikea a lot of the stuff isn't in the greatest of condition.

it's honestly not in the most pristine condition. It's funny when I was looking at it while Joe was getting a cart, this other lady started talking to me about what I could do to hide the scratch on the edge. She had lots of good ideas, but I'm probably not going to do any of them. Since I would eventually scratch it or get paint on it or stain it in some other manner, I'm not going to worry about it.

Then we started comparing these tv stands they had. I think there were 4 of them there. It's funny the one in the best condition was actually the cheapest. The most expensive one looked like a dog had chewed on one of the legs.

Minus those things, everything else looked like it was in good condition. But I know what you mean, sometimes it's awful.

Joe secretly loves that section since that means it's all ready assembled. He hates reading the directions. Well he actually hates IKEA, he doesn't like the quality of their stuff. But since it's my desk, he doesn't care so much.
