Y'know, there's a reason it's called a bike lane and not a pedestrian lane. I try to keep my cool with these people, but some days...

They walk right into the bike lane without even glancing down the street to see if anyone's coming, and then they give you a dirty look when you almost hit them. It's a wonder you haven't been ploughed down by ( Read more... )

I hit a pedestrian in the bike lane once. He looked like a robot and altough I was the one to apologize, I don't regret it.

i'm with you on this. they NEVER look. it's like "oh it's ok because it's just a bike lane. bikes don't really matter. it's not like they could actually hit me or anything." we should teach them a lesson or two. have a day where bikes have free rein on pedestrians. duck for cover, because we're coming after you - bike lanes, sidewalks, in your classrooms, you name it. bikers are out for revenge now!!! ok i went a little overboard with this.

I was hoping I'd get some affirmation from fellow cyclists!

I especially like the idea of riding our bikes into the classrooms. We could weave in and out of the rows of desks and knock over things, tread on toes, etc. It would be a biker's holiday!
