I determined long ago that 4am is Gainesville's "dead time"; I can drive several blocks down the thoroughfare and only see one or two cars. Now I would argue that most major city's dead time lies somewhere in the 3am range; after all, the bars have been closed for an entire hour! Smaller cities, well...
