What is up with everyone using the C word? I am not a prude by any means, but that word is just unacceptable to me ( Read more... )

Well I used "The C Word" today but thats because how I feel about my MIL. DH and I even have a nickname for her with that word in it. I guess it just depends on how you feel about the word. It doesnt bother me/I dont consider it unacceptable, sort of like bitch, etc. I also save it for special occasions, since I dont throw it out lightly. But since my post was about my MIL not even bothering to say Happy Birthday to me, I think she justifies being called one.

just reading your post now, thats why maybe it bothered her because it was used twice, by you and me.. How funny is that we feel that way, the same word!

I feel the same way about that word. I don't use it ALOT but yeah I use it and I don't find at anymore unacceptable than bitch etc. either.

I know it had to do with my post. I am sorry if I HAVE OFFENDED you! I honestly dont talk like that but the way I feel about my husband's ex she is one. Call me trashy or tacky or whatever, I dont care because to me thats the way I feel! I know if it were coming from a MAN's mouth maybe it will bother me, but not from a girl's mouth! It had nothing to do with you but again I apologize.

The C-word doesn't offend me unless someone is using it at me. LOL! I consider it a nasty word, and I save it for those special people that just rub me raw. hehe There's a certain person I can think of *coughcarolyncough* I think we all have certain words or phrases that upset us, but sometimes, a bad word is the only thing we can think of to release the anger.
