As I sit here mindlessly working on GSCI 115 and yes mindlessly, for I could care less about reading the text, only enough that I can bullshit it so he won't mark me off tomorrow. I agree with your thoughts. we all have strengths and weaknesses and i think we tend to draw on those strengths and even gravitate towards those who have common strengths or interests if you will. I think most people do recognize what they are or are not good at. however no one is good at everything and i know for me when i don't do well as something i perceive myself as "good" at I react more strongly than i would at something that i don't think i am any good at anyhow...if that makes any sense. someone tells me i can't do science worth a lick..i'd agree...but if someone says i am a horrible writer or terrible at spanish i would be inclined to take it more personally. i feel like many do this to some extent though. i guess the important thing is to realize that our individual strengths and weaknesses are what make us unique and amazing people. i know that sounds corny, but honestly wouldn't it be kinda boring to be always good at everything. there would be no challenge, no motivation, and no passion ( ... )
