The great thing about the American government is that the people vote on who they want to rule the country. If the American people thought that John Kerry was going to do a better job don't you think more of them would have voted for him? The WHOLE country besides the little liberal bubble of the Northeast and a few states on the west coast voted for Bush. What right do you have to say that all those people are wrong? What is wrong with living in a moral country? What is wrong with stopping abortion and giving those babies a chance at life? Why is it bad to up the education standards?
Maybe re-electing president Bush was not EVERYONES first choice, but it was the choice that a majority of the American people made. I think it is easy to complain about what has gone on. It is easy to give up on Bush and go follow someone else like Kerry, but personally I think he was all talk and I guess a large number of others thought the samething.
First of all, please do not assume me to be so presumptuous as to think that I have the right to say that everyone who voted for Bush is wrong. THey are entitled to their own opinion just as I am entitled to mine. My problems with Bush? Simply that I do not agree with his definition of a "moral" country, his stance on woman's rights, his attempts to improve education standards, or any of his international politics (and this is from someone who originally supported the invasion of Iraq).
I am also tired of being called a "liberal" with a negative connotation for no reason other than the fact that I have a different point of view.
haha, I never thought to read beyond your last entry...I'm stealing this one for my journal, 'cuz the away messages you have in here are just too awesome...well anywho, you should call your loving family on a day when it isn't 9:30 AM during vacation...alrighty? (as an idea, how 'bout tomorrow when we're all at Aunt Barb and Uncle George's for Papa Edward's birthday? It would more than likely be the most entertaining thing to happen the entire evening.)
