Thanks, eman.

They need a Cliffs Notes version of this ridiculous document. I know very few people with the time and patience to sift through the whole thing.

How they do it where I live, companies don't pay health insurance and we have a mix of public and private. Everyone pays a tiny amount in tax towards public health care even if you use private. It's the same with schools, I never went to a public school but my parents paid tax for public schools. If people earn over $70, 000 here they are "encouraged" to go on private health insurance or they pay a shit load in tax. It's to help ease the pressure on public hospitals.

I've been through the UK system a couple of times and used our system here. I think the Australian system works a lot better it is much more flexible.

I hope you guys don't have too much trouble changing over to a new system.

I don't have much faith in our government. It'll be a clusterf*ck for the next few years until the common people finally have enough and vote everyone out of office.

(Wait, that's already starting to happen.)

I do hope this plan succeeds, because I hate seeing children and people who are working their asses off but just not earning enough to pay for adequate healthcare uninsured. But I predict that, as always, it's most likely going to be the lazy deadbeat scumbags who benefit the most from it.
