1. nope, you don't pay for music but you CAN buy songs from the itunes music store for 99 cents. also, it comes with all the itunes software which makes it really easy to upload songs from a c.d to your computer. all you do is put the c.d into your computer and press go! and it should it uploads all the songs.
the charge time, skip protection, and included software is exactly the same as the 15, 20, and 40GB ipods too. and it only weighs 3 ounces. :OOOO
2. the ipod mini holds 1,000 mp3 songs.
3. YES! definitely worth the money. not only is it tiny (i can throw it in my purse and even put in my pocket easily) it holds hundreds of songs and even has features like notebook, contacts, games, calendar etc... v. cool. <3333

I might have to look into getting one. I actually think I'd get the green b/c my cell phone is green!
