For those of you who knew her and haven't yet heard, jenlev died yesterday of surgical complications related to cancer treatment. She was good people, and I'm feeling very sad right now that I won't see her again

Yeah, even knowing that she was sick it was much sooner than expected. Boo cancer.

I'm so sorry. She was such a calm and peaceful presence on LJ - she had such a generous spirit.

While this of course is the opposite of how it actually works, it always feels to me like beating cancer once should exempt you from cancer in the future. Once per lifetime, or something.
