I'm know I'm getting off subject here and may sound a bit callous, although that is not my intention, but I think this brings up interesting political issues as well. I have this feeling that if this were to happen in the United States and the victims were Muslim and the perpetrators were Christians then the Muslim political action organizations here would be up in arms and the media would go into a frenzy symbolically crucifying (bad pun, I know) all members of the Christian relgion. And that makes me angry.

Your post made me think. I know it's from a newsletter, but I'm glad you posted it. Why am I so afraid of sharing my faith when there is virtually no persecution for doing so? Would I be so brave as to go to a Christian school in a Muslim country? I don't know...and that makes me sad.
