Well, my first real entry after coming back is not, in fact, addressing the mad awesomeness experienced in Europe. It is, on the other hand, addressing an issue of categorization

Interesting. I agree. LiveJournal just doesn't have the pictures page and comments page that MySpace has. I actually really dislike MySpace. It's so... superficial, maybe? MySpace is more of a connecting agent than LiveJournal is. It's easier to "meet" people on MySpace, which is good for some people, but not for me. If I had to spew out bullshit, I would say that LiveJournal puts more emphasis on the posts/life, and MySpace puts more emphasis on the pictures/"making friends."
Yea. It's definately easier to meet people on myspace, but usually it's for all the wrong reasons. Prime example: people adding people onto their friends list on myspace just for the sake of having a huge friends count.
yeah, your post is a bunch of shit. livejournal sucks. you can't do anything. some people have lives and want to post pictures, but on here it's not as easy as say xanga or myspace. and xanga is way better than livejournal any day. kthx
Anyway. I think i keep a fairly nice line drawn between myspace and livejournal. I have both, but actually prefer LJ to myspace. Myspace actually depresses me. it's like High School on the internet.... You try to make a ton of friends, each who don't really know you, or care to know you, based pretty much on looks and popularity. I like spilling out my guts 'anonymously' whereas on myspace, nobody really cares. But, if you post a new picture showing your tits, yeah, you get a million comments.
I actually did that once as an experiment. Posted a typical 'holding camera above your head to expose cleavage' and lo and behold, I got about 15 friend requests, and about 30 comments all within about 5 days.
Superficial. but, what are you gonna do, thats the way society is.

Yea, I think my sister did the same thing one day. Or someone I know did. You know, with the boobie shot. Same thing happened.
And yea, on the myspace blogs, I really don't think anyone bothers to read them. They're just kinda... there.
