Hey, I wanted you to know that I'm totally interested in talking to you. My life is just changing alot right now. I decided that if I'm going to be able to fix alot of the things in my life I need to get an education and since I dropped out of high school and got my GED (and i'm buh-roke $$$) it makes sense for me to get into a program that will help me start at my own pace and get back into learning. So I'm going into job corps tomorrow. so i'm definitely praying for you. they actually thought i have cervical cancer for a while but it turned out to just be cervical dysplasia from i'm not sure what.... but it totally doesn't make you a slut. i hate that word. people are so hateful. we should be building each other up not ripping each other down. i'll talk to you more when i'm not packing and leavin'. that's what got me really upset about my miscarriage. i was going through my stuff deciding what to take with me and i found my box that i made for Savannah. sigh. God deals with things in his own way in his own time... but man it's hard
( ... )
Hey! Good luck at Job Corps! It's really good that you're taking that step. I know a lot of people who have really done well with Job Corps. I'm sure it will be a very positive thing for you. I'll be keeping you in my prayers as well (and adding you to my friends list). Good luck at Job Corps. I know you'll do well!
I tried to call you at the house from the shelter to let you (and Sean and Amy) know how we were doing, but guess who wouln't get up to give you the phone...
I just wanted to thank youl8ntmthrnrSeptember 26 2005, 19:51:58 UTC
I was looking at your user info yesterday after you posted in military_wives, and I visited the green ribbon site and rediscovered an adoption registry that I had signed up for in early 2001. When I went back last night, there was another entry for my birthdate, and I contacted the administrator last night and she confirmed this morning that the other entry under my birthdate is in fact my birth mother. I was born and adopted in Wisconsin, which has some of the most bassackwards laws about birth family and adoptee's rights to information. I was resigning myself to a long, expensive search, and it only took one visit to this database. I am now waiting to find out if she is willing to have her contact information forwarded to me, and I have given consent for my information to be forwarded to her. I probably wouldn't have even gone back there if I hadn't visited the green ribbon site, so again, thank you.

I got an email from my birth mother tonight, I still haven't worked up the nerve to read it yet, I think I am going to wait until my husband gets home, I think I need the emotional support for this.
Hi! Found you through your app in domestic_divas (and I'm making chicken stuff tonight to treat my husband - smelling so delish as I type!)
Anyway, I'm a fellow Navy wife, addicted to coastal living, domestic engineer, always looking for like-minded friends on LJ. So I hope you don't mind if I add you, and I hope you'll consider doing the same. :o)
Household Engineer. THAT's the title I forgot to put on my domestic_divas app! *giggle* Actually, the navy guys that keep eating in my kitchen call me HE1 or DG1 (household engineer or domestic goddess... and I outrank james *chortle*). I'll add you too, with the same warning I am giving everyone right now. I'm fairly boring lately since most of my life is hurricane recovery stuff, and some of those posts get a little icky for some people. You're welcome to read though, and I look forward to it :)
